A gentle way of life and a getaway to the Mediterranean coast

Benefit from your stay in the Var to discover Hyères and the surrounding area

A Var town located 16 km from Toulon, Hyères is a much-prized tourist destination. On the edge of the Mediterranean, it offers magnificent landscapes that alternate between sublime sandy beaches and steep cliffs. It includes the Giens peninsula and the 4 Iles d’Or, also known as the Iles d’Hyères: the charming island of Porquerolles, Port-Cros, the Ile de Bagaud and the Ile du Levant. A network of shuttles allow you to enjoy exceptional days in these magnificent locations. Famous for its many palm trees, Hyères is classified as a Ville d’Art et d’Histoire (Art and History Town) and has a rich cultural heritage worthy of discovery.

The Villa Noailles, which is only 1 km from the hotel, the Chapelle Saint-Blaise or the Tour des Templiers and the Saint-Paul collegiate are just some of the monuments to visit. For those who enjoy the flora and fauna, the Salins d’Hyères is open to the public. The archaeological site of Olbia bears witness to the town’s Greek origins. Colourful and lively, the various markets bring a friendly atmosphere with a Provencal touch every day of the week. If you want to shop, you’ll be delighted by the open-air shopping centre L’Avenue 83. For fun getaways as a family, the Magic World theme park and Faron Zoo await you. There is a wide range of outdoor leisure options, with the Valgarde golf club and its 18-hole course, sub-aqua diving, hiking along the coastal paths and even water sports.

Dynamic and welcoming, Hyères is the theatre for various events that take place throughout the year just a stone’s throw from the Hotel Casino des Palmiers. The half-marathon on March, the Fashion and Photography Festival in April, the Festival de l’Anche in May, the Midi Festival in July and the Christmas market in December are appointments not to be missed. In July and August, the town centre comes alive every evening with concerts, demonstrations and craft markets while the shops remain open and allow you to enjoy the cool of the summer evenings.
